HappyinTX : It appears it's going in the shopping center between Kingwood Dr and Northpark Dr. That is absolutely Kingwood.

KTownTexican : Nico's or whatever it is called now does music on the weekend. Brass Tap is doing some, Megatron does some live music .

Heathur : Open Mic is a potluck of local or semi-local artists that play their own music and sing, either their own songs or covers songs. Some people sing with others playing guitar, etc., but the music is live, not recorded. Some "acts" are local trios or small bands.

Heathur : At the one I attend at Rosati's, there are several musicians that are more than happy to play the music if someone just wanted to sing. Andy, the host, is great with playing backup, harmonizing, etc. Mark, Woody, and Greg, when there, are just as generous with their time and talents.

Txbutterfly : It's fun for a while. You have to deal with a bunch of crap. Best thing I got out of doing it for years is now I don't drink. I never want to look like some of the people I waited on when I bartended LOL! It really changed my opinion of being drunk in a public setting. I have a glass of wine or a marg every now and then but nothing like I used to when I went bar hopping. Also, when I have to be around drunk people, I get irritated faster because of my past jobs. I constantly find myself saying "I used to get paid to deal with this sh$t". LOL.
chocolatemonkey : This is pretty cool. I have played at their Memorial City location and it's a great bar.
