New Caney's Caney Pines Convention Center Opens Call for Photographers to Submit Their Art Photographers have until Friday, October 23rd, at 2 PM to submit images for possible display inside the new Caney Pines Convention Center in New Caney. The East Montgomery County Improvement District is inviting photographers to submit black-and-white images featuring East Montgomery County and the surrounding natural landscape. The collection is intended to reflect the area's character and connect the venue with the community. Submitted work should complement the building's interior through composition, light and shadow, texture, and tonal range. Selected photographs will be reproduced in large formats, with EMCID handling production. A selection panel will review submissions and choose photographs for consideration. It will also select a photographer for an additional assignment to capture new images. EMCID will guide that assignment, including natural sites, subjects, style and required image sizes or orientations. For more info about submitting work and other inquiries visit the EMCID Facebook page.
