New Blog by Bob Rehak: Steelwork Starts on the Northpark Drive Bridge in Kingwood

Bob Rehak reports that steelwork has started on the Northpark Drive bridge over the Union Pacific Railroad tracks and Loop 494 in Kingwood. The bridge is part of the Northpark Drive expansion and is intended to form a key link in an all-weather evacuation route for Kingwood. Rehak's photos show bridge supports, crossbeam work and other construction activity. At publication, the report said the Loop 494 intersection was expected to remain closed while crews waited for approval of a work plan for drill shafts near the railroad right of way.
