SandyKnee : The person standing in the line simply gets out of line and the actual passenger gets in the line and goes thru.
 
@BigBruno : Okay, I see how this works if it is just a single line where the passenger can approach the paid person from the side and they exchange places. I was picturing the long snake like, cordoned off, back-and-forth lines (like at DisneyWorld) and the passenger would have to approach from the back and pass all the other passengers in line in order to get to the paid person.

@BigBruno: but they would actually have to get in line about 45 minutes before they were actually going through TSA and once they got into the full stanchions that are at the airport. That is the point where you show your boarding pass to get into that regulated line, and where the " swap" would happen., from that point, the actual traveler would probably only wait about 40 min in line.
