Need a new veterinarian for my cat. There was a discussion on here recently about animal vets. I was going to try Animal Care Center of Lake Houston. Does anyone know about them. If yes, what Dr. would you recommend? The place can be good but not all vets are good.

If thats the bet in Huffman they have a 3 month wait for new patients. All the vets here are now owned by rivate equity. Super expensive and pressure you for unnecessary tests. If someone knows of an independent vet in the area, please let me know.
Kittle and Orangeapple reacted Sorry to hear that. Several people on here recommended it but I guess the discussion is too old to find.
Animal Care Center of Lake Houston is NOT corporate owned. Dr. Jones and Dr Gilbert are the owners. We followed Dr Gilbert from her previous employer to Animal Care. They are both excellent and prices are very reasonable compared to corporate owned. Yes it may take a while to get in as a new patient because they are so good. If you do get in please tell Dr Gilbert Hi from Cooper,Koda, Loki and Hunter ( we moved to AZ awhile back)
Cannot save enough about them. Anyone you see there is good and you are not paying KW prices. Physicals some shots are free.
Thank you so much for this. I'm so stressed after being taken to the cleaners by Kings Crossing Vet. I happen to get the least experienced I guess and shouldn't have said yes to half the tests but traumatized and in shock from my cats sudden illness. Thousands of dollars!!! I can't go through that again.
My coworker and I use all community animal hospital in Porter for our pets. We like them a lot, even for checkups. However it sounds like the other vet you were thinking of is also popular per the comments. Hope you find a good vet.
