Fireba11 : Understand that those old books might have heavily yellowed pages and the spines might crack and separate from being dried out.That happen to an old set of Readers Digest books I bought at a yard sale.
Fireba11 : You might consider splitting one set between the two families so that they could share the books. Not for saving money, although that could be a plus, but to encourage these cousins to share with each other and to encourage them to talk about these books among themselves. Kind of like their own little book club.
HappyNew : I think making it a bookclub is a great idea but, each family should have a set so they can read the book at the same time for discussion. It would be more fun for the girls so they don't have to wait on each other and the storyline will not get stale for one of them.

Orangeapple : This is great! I had no idea FOLK sold online. They really have it together really well! FOLK is a great addition to our library!
Just be aware that the entire series has been re-written, so depending on your values you may want to get old used or brand new.
SarcasmWins : Yes, my daughter enjoyed the Billy and Blaze books about a boy and his pony. The school book sale had them again. EXCEPT FOR THE BOOK WHERE THE BAD GYPSIES STEAL BLAZE! This discussion has been locked.
