NWHNotary : Thanks for info! Btw, Im 72 (going on 25). Those who know me know that nobuddy better call me elderly before I hit 80. I prefer older, not elderly. Those people were far from elderly in my book. My dh of almost 43 years is 66 …….. not a drop of elderly in him. Me neither!

Ruger5 : I detest that term too! Even "senior" is preferable to elderly.

So. I did a little research. He could receive 2 to 20 years for each death. So it could be 40 if the max is given.

Sept 1, 2025 I saw a note that if more than one death occurs it could be upgraded to a first degree felony.

I'm sure he is going to claim fault since he lawyered up.

If his alcohol level was higher the penalty could be increased.
If he had any priors that could make penalty more.

Just look at wrecks such as this on YouTube. Seems the penalty goes way up if you were speeding. Like 20 over speed limit or were found to be intoxicated. The key is wreckless driving and under influence. Did the guys action contribute to the wreck. Like would it have not happened if he obeyed speed and was not intoxicated. This may take years to get resolved in court.

@NWHNotary : I thought it was intoxication manslaughter. Precinct 4 only said it was the pickup drivers fault, no name nor what the other drivers name was.

I'm curious about his speed and if its recorded on the vehicle's computer. That's a very tricky intersection to cross with normal traffic speeds.
