My son had it this year too but we got him right to the doctor and got meds and he did pretty well with it. But trust me it is nothing that anyone would want to experience.

Me either. The vaccine made me feel achy but Tylenol solved that problem. I saw my son with shingles and I am glad I got the vaccination.

Joe : My boss developed hearing loss because of it. He now has to wear a hearing aid.

Both my daughters had shingles few years ago so we all got shingles vax this year-no side effect from shot-their shingles were miserable

Got my second shingles vaccine a couple weeks ago. No issues with either dose. I was hesitant and delayed getting them for nothing.

Did they give her the vaccine then? My understanding is it can recur, if not. Sorry, she had to go through that, scary stuff! Prayers, she is done with it!🙏

I wouldn't wait, there should be no side effects. As a teacher, you're exposed to all those kids whose parents think it's OK, not to be vaccinated. Last year there were polio cases. Something we eradicated years ago.😢

True, but I always react to vaccines. With the COVID ones I was sick for days in bed--high fever, chills, nausea, aches, headache, fatigue. I have heard the shingles vaccine can be rough and I can't be in bed sick with the puppy to take care of.

I know! That's why I originally planned on doing it this summer when I was off from work and could just take it easy, but with this puppy, I don't have time to take it easy.
