Congratulations!I used Onwell and they did a good job, they were able to reduce it more than I have been able to in years past.

I started with the one person meeting with the appraiser and he did not budge--I'll skip that step from now on. I did the full panel meeting and they actually lowered it by $57,000! The one time per year that problems with your home are a good thing. One thing that helped was that our house is now completely in the 100 year flood plain whereas only part of our property was before. Our neighborhood flooded so badly in Harvey--I gave them photos of our intersection with the water five feet deep--and the appraiser said "This neighborhood does not get any deduction for Harvey." The other people on the panel objected to that policy, saying that just wasn't right, and I think that helped my case. The appraiser's wording was interesting to me--so Kingwood does not get any deduction but other neighborhoods do?

Protested mine - had a hearing - they lowered it by 80k!!!

Congratulations on your success. We unsuccessfully protested once and haven't botbered sincee. Being seniors, we get discounts.

Protested with a lawyer and got it down by $11k. I agreed that is what I think I could sale it for realistically, I was happy with the outcome.

I sat for 8 hours at the Harris County District to protest taxes on a couple of properties I own. First the initial interview then waited for HC Appraisal Board. It was worth it. My taxes on 2 properties were reduced 52%. I think that was worth it!

I've done the iprotest, always 1 person review. I submitted photos of my property of why it should be valued less, always got a huge reduction from what they estimate it should be worth. I have never paid anyone to fight on my behalf, always a significant reduction.
