I am no doubt much older than you. I want you to know your worth regardless if you have a partner or not.

I recall way back when I was single and in between boyfriends. I remember feeling like there was no one for me and everyone else had someone.

What I discovered is once I stopped caring if I had someone or not is when I was suddenly being pursued . In fact I met my future husband in between a bad break up and had resigned myself to not finding "Mr Right". I counted my blessings a million times that I was content and not looking - otherwise who knows , I might have settled .

The boyfriend that had broken up with me and broken my heart at the same time suddenly was begging for me to forgive him- he even proposed to me.

At another time I would have been thrilled to accept his proposal but having just met the man that I would later marry I knew that I had dodged a big mistake. Old boyfriend even tried reconnecting several times after I had married .
Play "I can buy myself flowers" on Spotify and be extra good to yourself. You are worth it and know that being single isnt the worst thing in the world. It beats the heck out of a bad relationship!.

Thank you so much for the kind words! I'm so sorry for your loss. I know you are so right about things happening when you least expect them. I'm okay with being single. I just happen to love tall, bald, and bearded men. Lol.

I totally forgot to add that right after I put my groceries in my trunk a man told me that he liked my top and that it would look better on his floor. I'm like damn men just say whatever it's my turn! Haha

My line when single is always this.
I walk past and say while still walking....married, involved, seeing anyone? I'll usually wait a few minutes and walk by again. I'm usually stopped and asked what I said. I'll then lol and repeat it, which usually gets a good laugh and a conversation. And a possible connection.

I must be old and married forever.... did not know women needed pick up lines lol. Although I did ask an ex if he wanted to dance the minute he got off the dance floor. He claimed he was still dancing with someone at the time, but I know that is not true. I was super shy too... so I know I had a drink to even do that.

SummerSneeze : I don't think you should consider it embarrassing to give someone a compliment. I'll add though that it can be surprising to some, as many of us don't receive compliments so we don't have an immediate response. Last fall I was running through Landa Park in New Braunfels and a lady walking there surprised me with a compliment. Being several miles into my run, I only managed a smile and "thank you". Emoticon

I think it's ok for a lady to approach a gentleman, and I am a bit old fashioned. I have been out of the dating game for many decades. I am sure it's so different. Compliments and a smile are free but are priceless.
