Local Mechanic Recommendation?

Would anyone be so kind as to recommend an honest local mechanic shop? We're newish to the area and have been using the closest Subaru dealership, but them trying to sell me new tires to replace the ones I have with less than 10,000 miles on them is the final straw. I just want someone who appreciates their customers and community!!!!

and have been using the closest Subaru dealership,

OceanMan :

"Dealerships" are notoriously "shady"...Doesn't even matter what "Make"(GM,FORD,TOYOTA,etc.) your vehicle is, most are "shady"....They all use similar "scams" to take your money....Many actually have "game boards" posted in the "backrooms" that keep track of what shady "salesmen" and "service advisors" are scamming the best, as it's all a "GAME" to them....And they end up getting big "bonuses" for it too!....

My advise is, outside of "warranty work", NEVER take your car to a "dealership"....Find you a good local repair shop with great ratings and take your car there....

Dan's Garage-Porter
Dan worked for years at the Kingwood Service Center (across from little Krogers on NP & WLH) now he's got his own garage. He's always been fair and honest with me and my family!

Butterbean : Agree!! They gave me a quote and after the work was done it was lower price because they didn't need to do everything they thought. They are great.
