Live radar - 640PM A few thunderstorms have popped up on the SW side of Houston & near Downtown. I think this trend will continue thru 9pm. A few could be on the stronger side so heads up if you're headed out.

The National Weather Service in League City has issued a * Severe Thunderstorm Warning for North central Fort Bend County in southeastern Texas...Southeastern Waller County in southeastern Texas...West central Harris County in southeastern Texas... * Until 715 PM CDT. * At 648 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Cinco Ranch, or near Katy, moving north at 5 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. * Locations impacted include...Katy, Richmond, Mission Bend, Pecan Grove, Eldridge / West Oaks, southwestern Addicks Park Ten, Fulshear, Cinco Ranch, Four Corners,Addicks, and Memorial. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building. Large hail, damaging wind, and continuous cloud to ground lightning
are occurring with this storm. Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature's leading killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder you are close enough to be struck by lightning. Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.

This outflow boundary will likely spark off storms. If so, these will move in from the east within the next hour or so.

725PM Radar is getting very active. These storms are dropping quarter size hail with 60mph winds so be safe!

835PM Cell to our east - This is not severe warned yet but it probably will be soon. It should enter Kingwood within the next 30 minutes. Up to 1" hail has fallen in these cells so it might get rough here for a bit.

Heaviest part of the cell is trying to stay just to north. We'll see how it evolves over the next 10 minutes or so...
