Let's Talk New Year's Eve!

If you do not already have reservations, you best get on the phone! My older son was trying to find a good spot to party, for a small group of friends. With 3 of them making calls and queries, so far ,everything is booked. They might look to one of the big outdoor sports bar venues in Spring, as the weather might be a Lot like it is, right now. They would be happy with that. Will you go out or celebrate at home, and how will you bring in 2026?

We will be home watching the ball drop in NY. If fireworks are not too crazy, I will be asleep shortly thereafter. My NYE party days are history.

I am working NYE and NY Day, so won't stay up too late. Will watch fireworks and the musical celebrations on tv from somewhere, eat popcorn, and get to bed before 10pm, as usual. Emoticon

My NYE party days were a Lot of fun, and lasted into my late 50's. Now, if I was not working, I would go to a small party with friends or family, at a home, but nothing more. Been There/Done That/Had Fun!

LittleTexas : I believe the consensus is we will go out to dinner and then get in the hot tub to watch our neighbor's fireworks! We always change our minds so we'll wait for it to get closer.

The wonders of New Year's Eve. Even my kids are too old for the celebrating, but the grands in their 30s still party.

New years day means:: the property taxes, the income taxes, the HOA dues, the truck plates, the new insurance rule changes, and even the preacher asking for help with a new roof, new carpet, or help with the pot-holes in the parking lot.

I will be at a fancy ballroom downtown w 40 to 50 others dancing and have a grand time. We have rooms there, so no driving for us. And I will meet up w the family for lunch and hanging out NYD
