You do pay more using the heb service. Sometimes it's just a little, on some products it's a lot more so it's just something to consider while determining if it's worth it.

Kandice : Ahhhhh did not know that. Im a very frugal gal by nature, I thought this was a free service, for which I would tip handsomely. I thought stores offered this as a customer service to draw in new customers. I dont need it delivered, the curb pick up is free no?

I have a day and time that I like to go shopping at HEB that works for me, and isn't too busy. I avoid it as much as I can on the weekends, though. I like shopping in person because I prefer to choose and handle my produce, meats and a few other items. I really like online shopping for all other items, and picking them up is very convenient. I've done online shopping and delivery with Kroger for my parents, and it is also very worth it for the time and convenience.

The shopper and pickup service is "free". However, it's a little deceiving because the actual prices you pay for individual items is more if you do curbside. The app usually lists the curbside price but if you go into the store and buy the same item it will be less. It's weird. For myself, sometimes it is worth it to have someone else do the shopping and just have it loaded in the trunk. But most times I do go into the store myself because id rather have the lower price. Just depends. Also, they are not allowed to accept tips per HEB policy.

No upcharge at Kroger! You can save hundreds by clipping coupons on their app. I have actually been doing this pre-Covid.

All I have to say is- I'm glad we moved to Gilbert. Zero traffic nightmares because the main roads have 2-3 lanes each way Plus turning lanes AND they all have bike lanes. People aren't as angry drivers here. BUT I totally get why y'all are - not enough lanes and not enough main roads in and out of KW. I used to be a very angry driver in KW.
Now yes there are idiot drivers still but there's enough room to avoid them.
