Yikes! I am so sorry your daughter went through that. That's the stuff of nightmares! Very smart of her to point to the camera! Very glad, he left & didn't break window, hurt her & steal camera.

Oh, HELL no! I'm on that guy's rear bumper like white on rice and on the phone with police the whole time, and I'm not off his bumper until cops show up.

Wow! Glad you are physically o.k. A family member of mine had a similar incident, not here. You were spot on, you don't want to approach people who are not in a correct mental state, not worth risking your life.

jv339: something similar happened to me but in my case I had no idea who did it. They reversed , hit my parked car and " see ya ". The good news were that TX covered with half so my deductible payment was the other half. Insurance took care of everything including a rental . I guess it's some law in our favor if the other person doesn't take responsibility and takes off . That's what the insurance told me .
Sorry that happened to you , very irresponsible people .

That happened to me before. I was driving my, at the time mustang. I was behind a landscaping truck and they backed up. I had a coke in my hand and was trying to drop it, hit the clutch and back up but I couldn't in time. Made a huge hole in my hood. The workers stopped and gave me the insurance info but unfortunately the owner of the company had let that lapse. My son was only about 8 months old and in the back.

He needs to be held responsible for his actions. Especially, if he is a repeat offender, he needs to be held to accountability. You should not be stuck with all of the bills.
