There's a h ouse in Sherwood Trails that has been damaged a lot longer yet nothing has been done. The garage roof is faling in now.

That's been almost a year ago that Beryl hit. Our council member is monitoring the situation. Give me a break. It doesn't take a year to get that house torn down.

It's all about RED TAPE. The city put in a demolition order then reversed it. What the heck. It must have just all of a sudden got a lot better after baking in the sun for a year? Heads should roll. Dumb

Where the heck is the owner? Yes, the City should demolish at this point but what are they doing to go after the owner?

Having an empty damaged home sitting for so long is terrible. What if anything is the HOA doing? They should be pushing the city of Houston and fining the owner. Has anyone heard about Elm Grove's HOA trying to get this issue resolved?

Not surprised. I'm in a rental owned by an investor in NJ whom has never been here. Management company is on VA.

Hopefully the City can go after the corporation! What a disgrace.

I felt so bad for the family living there. They had only been here a short time, moving from Oregon. They were so happy here - really excited about the kid's school & extra curricular activities. Just a really sweet, young family. The man joined neighbors, helping clear our driveway where our big tree fell. After all this, they returned to Oregon, just grateful that nobody was seriously injured.
