Cl1974 : We live near this eyesore. Word around here is that it's a rental, owned by a corporation in Connecticut.

Having an empty damaged home sitting for so long is terrible. What if anything is the HOA doing? They should be pushing the city of Houston and fining the owner. Has anyone heard about Elm Grove's HOA trying to get this issue resolved?

The EG HOA (or any HOA for that matter) has limited power in what can be done about this situation. This house in Sherwood Trails has been like this for more than 5 years.
MBV is dealing with this mess. This house sustained significant fire and water damage. It was torn down a couple of months ago. 
ExCTGuyInTX @JEM1234 : The HOA put up the fence, as I understand it. Just so happens that one of the board members lives directly across the street from this house.

There's a h ouse in Sherwood Trails that has been damaged a lot longer yet nothing has been done. The garage roof is faling in now.
