KPHS Sweeney Todd Review!

Just saw the 7 PM showing of Sweeney Todd at KPHS. This is the second musical I've seen in Kingwood, the first being KHS Sound of Music.

To start, Emerson Harris as Mrs. Lovett was incredible! Her acting was on point and her tone was so clear.

Eliza McCrary, a SEVENTH GRADER, as Pirelli was impressive. Even more so after finding out her age!

Eleanor Durand as Tobias Ragg sounded amazing in Not While I'm Around. Her voice was a great fit for the song.

And my favorite without a shadow of a doubt, Charlotte Terrell as Beggar Woman. I hope she never quits theater because her performance was lovely beginning to end.

The show as a whole was well done. The orchestra was quite good as was the set design. One thing noticed from this show was that the sound quality was quite a step up from the show I saw at KHS. The only thing I'd critique was that the costumes could have been better. Otherwise, great show! Kudos to the cast, crew, and directors.

I believe there is one more show tomorrow at 2 PM, but someone correct me if I am wrong.
