Good number; I don't think we are higher than most other areas re services, and most of our restaurants are pretty reasonable, considering state averages. I do wish the developers would have put a little more thought into roads/traffic/heavy patterns. From the Grand Opening of KW, my Grandad's comments was..."..they're gonna need more roads".

I think Kingwood is a comparative bargain. There's not a lot of other parts of Greater Houston where you can get a generously sized home, in an established neighborhood, in a good school district in the low 300s. I think the greenbelts alone are worth the price of admission.

#msg5994321Is Kingwood A Reasonably Priced Place To Live? Housing, restaurants, groceries, etc. How do you think we rank, on a scale of 1-10; 10 being ' overpriced'?

LittleTexas : We moved here from SA 29 years ago. The housing was much cheaper here. I also feel groceries are cheaper here. We visit in SA and HEB is the only grocery store. I can tell you, once HEB runs everyone out of business the prices go up! I love all the competition we have here. I think eating out is expensive no matter where you go.
