Kingwood Meat Market. I come to Kingwood about once a month and usually stop and get a couple of breakfast tacos. I lived in Kingwood for 23 years and was present when Eduardo Garza opened the doors. I mean 2 tacos for $9 that have little to them seems ridiculous. I use to get 2 tacos and could barely finish them. Now it would take 4 and $18 to do the same. Just not worth it. I've seen it gradually get worse since I moved a couple of years ago. Am I wrong?

Kbstall : The tortillas have changed. We always get corn. They've become thick and weird.
I've liked their breakfast tacos but have also noticed an increase in price with a decrease in quality. 
If I am craving breakfast tacos I go to Freddy's Taco Shack on the southbound side of the 59 feeder.
Just south of the 1314 intersection on the right. The drive through line is long so I usually park and walk in. Much faster. Amazing tacos and old school prices.

Kbstall : You're right - it's not unlike the grocery store experience of shrinkflation, with food packaging that decreases in size while the price remains the same or increases.

Kbstall : That's disappointing to hear, especially since their breakfast tacos are very good. Maybe with some competition coming into the area, they will lower their prices a bit. An alternative place that is also very good, that we love, is Kingwood Taco Shop back on Mills Branch.
That's why I stopped going...rude service and too many delicious alternatives for less $$.

luv2eatsushi : I'm glad you've had good experiences, but the front counter lady was unfriendly and rude to us on multiple occasions. I am extremely courteous to service industry workers, as I worked my way through college waiting tables and working in retail, so I know what it's like to be on the other side.
