I have the feeling that, as he matures, he'll be grateful that he didn't actually murder his father.
I wonder how he will be sentenced for attempted murder. He's a juvenile but could be tried as an adult. Also, it appears that the kid is somewhat loco.
He certainly can't claim that his father provoked him or assaulted him.

When I first read it, I thought of our old friend Carol. Then I thought, maybe he thought someone was in the garage stealing his dad's bike. But he ran away. That right there makes me think he was mad at his dad and thought, I'll teach him.
His record of bad decisions in the past for such a young man also makes me think, he doesn't care. Cold and calculated. Where's mom?

LittleTexas: my thought was they send a cop first if it's a shots heard call. I didn’t think it was safe for HFD to arrive before HPD if there was a “shots heard” call. It’s how it came across on Citizen.
Snoodles : Agree, but if there is more info given to the 9-1-1 operator, and a LEO unit is delayed, they might send FD. In this case, the call included that they man knew it was his son who shot him, and that his son had taken a car from the property, and fled the scene. The units will communicate and FD will not join the scene, if the danger is still even Possibly imminent, you are correct.
