My sister and her kids all live in the New Braunfels area. You want to see some parched land, go out there in the heat of summer. I don't see how anything survives out there.

Ruger5 : Remember the 2011 drought that decimated our trees? I'll never forget the naked greenbelts and brown esplanade along our major streets. I pray for rain 🌧

Ruger5 : That was just plain scary. I thought it would be the end of our treed community. It took years to recover from that drought cycle.

Ruger5 : Neighbors have watered twice this Summer. Guessing their tree could have broken my water line?

Ruger5 : Yes, because no plan was made to water trees if a drought occurs. The HOA's generally only water entrances to subdivisions only. I have never seen the Trails Association water the parks or trails. There does not seem to be a plan to trim shrubs that are encroaching into the lane of traffic either.

oh a good note most will comeback I think a lot of them will just go into a hibernation mode well other will just die off. Nature has a way of taking care of things like this.
