#msg6010375SteveT : Thanks. I have to go there. I mentioned on another thread, my washing machine is broken and Whirlpool has no parts. Grrrr!
#msg6010379bigla: lol … my schedule is by my choice. I started working this job at the end of 2017.. then in late 2020 I thought I'd get a job with zero travel & was senior accountant manager at Lake Houston Lawncare. Loved the job & being home every night. Then prices started to rise with rent costs, electricity, car insurance etc.. Unfortunately , I wasn't very good at managing my saving of money for retirement. So after long prayers, talking to people I looked up to etc. I decided to go back out traveling again for work. Pushed all my belongings into storage & wholla .. I found I can live off my per diem & sock my pay away into the 401k Roth IRA & a Wealth management firm to help assisting me to have money to retire on. Unfortunately, not starting this until I was almost 50 meant traveling 99% of the year & having company I work for pay my living expenses (hotels, food, have a company truck, etc)… plus I get to see all the small towns in the Central US since 99% of railroads are located in small town America! If I wanted I could potentially go home, railroad works 8 days on 6 days off. Course I always try & find side work when the gang I follow is off… sometimes I go & work with BNSF Railroad on off days or other UPRR gangs. As far as marriage goes… I haven't ever been married. Almost married twice yet .. well let's just say I'm not a fan of people who cheat… I'm actually thinking of getting my CDL this Christmas & maybe start a Hotshot business. That way I can be home on a more frequent basis. GOD will let me know what he wants & I will follow. Sorry for the book…my fingers wouldn't stop typing.. lol
@SteveT :
Thanks for the reminder and knowing it's still a good place. I went there years ago after losing power.

@BamaBoy :
There are a lot of nice towns in small town America. When my DH and I traveled we purposely got off the interstate to visit. Lots to see in America.
Continue to follow God.
