Airborne319 : They are obviously in uniform on someone's clock.
eighteen : What if they got off their shift and said "let's go help that lady get her trampoline put up for her kids". These guys risk their lives for $40k a year. Every day they put on that uniform could be their last. Would you do that? I think they've earn the benefit of the doubt.
Perhaps you noticed that the time stamp was when it was posted to their feed, not when the picture was taken.

We pay plenty of taxes to COH. Its nice for their police officers to give back. I would be nice if the City Works people would get in the game and time the lights on KW Drive and 494. They don't even have to do anything special, just their jobs.
hanging out at the 1960 entrance and 59 North writing tickets all morning to the people using the toll lane.
Heathur : I've seen HPD there many times but yes, I agree. I think all traffic control should be handled by the state police, period.
Heathur : Right near 59 and the 1960 entrance. Past the San Jacinto bridge going south bound. They sit there and park on the highway side of the barrier (HPD motorcycle cops mostly) and stand on the other side of the barrier and flag down motorists heading toward downtown on the HOV lane all damn morning, writing tickets. They sit right about here: maps.app.goo.gl/76aQ MXbiMjp7YMEs9

Maybe it was a slow crime day? So they probably just stopped for a few minutes to help out instead of driving around (or parking somewhere) and looking for speeders. And are we really complaining that they weren't out there handing out tickets to speeders instead? Usually they're being belittled as that's all they do. I'm sure if they'd gotten a call for a crime in progress, they would have abandoned the trampoline.
