I've always wondered how Royal Shores doesn't flood. It's right in the center of both plats of land in question. If Holley is buying - he's going to try to develop it.

I appreciate this article and the photos. Hope all is disclosed to any buyers. Growing up in Houston, it's good to know what areas flood. I know when shopping for homes, if I am already familiar with areas that have flooded, I pass. But newcomers may not think about it. I remember, in my teens, having to get from the street to my front door in a boat plus many instances of getting stuck on the freeways after work because of flooding. Still happening.

Driving down Sorters the foundations of those new houses are at least 10 feet below the road grade. Hope those people have flood insurance. This could get so much worse for all of us.
