'Kingwood Commons is a shabby little development'
This is a quote from the Food Editor for the Houston Chomical about the opening of the Paris Baguette in the Trader Joe's center (I guess we can't call it the front Randalls center anymore, can we?).
See the link below.
I've to expect this kind of comment on any news 'outside the loop'. Those inner loopers consider anything north of them as South Dallas. www.chron.com/food/a rticle/paris-baguett e-kingwood-21328807. php

Agree. It was kinda shabby until TJs moved in. Until then, that side of that center was dead - Randall's was gon, along with Hallmark and James Avery.

CaffeineFree : I certainly wouldnt call it a fancy development. It looks pretty old, like a strip center from 20 years ago (which it is)
I remember when it was all trees and the Kingwood welcome center over there. 😆

...says a 'food reporter for the features desk"( a company which currently employs Eleven people); ie they keep him away from any Important news. not sure why we would care about his opinion. this "elitist" view by a person who has lived in One place in Houston, carries no weight, for me. He is entitled to his opinion, and I am entitled to ignore it, as fluff. Good writers have an Open Mind ,and write to please more than One demographic. Grasshopper has a lot to learn.

Honestly I don't care what someone writes about our little slice of paradise. We like it here, that is all that matters.
Wonder if they had to use whiteout on their typewriter paper for the article with old words like shabby. How about revitalized?
SteveT, SummerSneeze and CaffeineFree reacted CaffeineFree : The physical paper is good for one thing however....if you need to use it to light your fire pit or wood burning fireplace!
CaffeineFree : Isnt the Chron mostly a online pub now?
