People also hang out and often dine and shop afterward. Hey, I get that this wasn't your cause, but it was over at 11:30. We had breakfast before in a restaurant there and lunch at Chichis with some new friends afterward. It was a peaceful, friendly crowd with lots of flags, families, neighbors driving by honking and giving thumbs up. We visited and were impressed with the intelligent, passionate people we met. I wanted my 8 year old grandson to see a lesson in Democracy and witness patriots in action. Never be complacent. Never be afraid to dissent. Do not let intimidation silence you. Do you complain that the 4th of July parade hurts your business too? I think your bias is showing.

This needs to be said. It is both wrong and hurtful to impede the businesses in the town center area with gatherings like these. Your local merchants are having enough trouble with the economy as it is without jamming their sidewalks and parking lots with protesters. I have no problem with protesters, but I DO have a problem with it stopping commerce. Perhaps in the future organizers could consider a public open area to convene in. Thank you for listening.
