No Kings Video

Spork : Are you just being inflammatory / bombastic for fun, or do you really think that's true? These are people expressing strongly held political beliefs, with solid reasoning (that you may or may not agree with), and the protests are a way to get the word out and signal to others that there is a group of people unhappy with the current situation. If you watch the video I posted, there a few kooky people, but mostly it's an atmosphere of normal people, in a relatively friendly situation, and feels a lot like a community fair. I was there -- your characterization of the event sounds ridiculous to anyone who was actually there.

But wait, there's more!Don't leave out the popular vote or the gains made among groups that previously did not vote for him.His performance under his first term seemed to have earned him a much larger share of the votes for his 2nd term. But I'm sure the real reason was the lack of competency and trust earned by the 2 candidates Democrats decided to run against him.

I'm having a great time Joe. I have no interest in being so serious all the time. Your view was limited by the Kingwood bubble. It does not attract the same weirdos that larger communities attract. Kingwood is not representative of the general population nor the people who love exhibiting their "well reasoned" issues and sources of outrage in larger, more diverse communities. Am I wrong?

It just comes off as you making up inflammatory stuff that's clearly not true. I guess that's one way to discuss politics.Yes, Kingwood doesn't represent everyone. But you used this broad brush of painting protesters as mentally ill, "screaming at the sky", etc., when you have a case staring you in the face in your own back yard, that the protests obviously aren't that...just seems like you are making a false and bad-faith attempt to smear people for exercising their right to protest.

No. I'm making fun of the mindset that leads people to believe such exhibitions are either therapeutic or persuasive.
