ET : Ah, good point, it might just be the staging area since they were leasing both spaces.I wish I had thought of that and paid closer attention so that I could have looked for clues as to whether any actual building-out was occurring there. I will say that there were a lot of workers, maybe 8, in that spot, which might bode well for a possible build-out there. 4951

PeterB123 : the only work I have seen over there in the last few weeks is they finally replaced the window walls that had blown out. 4951

ET : But, we average a hurricane hit about what, every 16 years?The bigger issue is development and what that does to runoff and such.Additionally, they seem to be reactive to flooding and not proactive. I'm very critical of them building another reservoir when they do such a poor job of maintaining the ones they already have. 4951

PeterB123 : three good sized floods within 18 months and only one was hurricane related, obviously the worst. Hopefully they will be a bit more attentive to lake levels in the future. 4951

Thanks for the pictures and updates. I would like to see them all come back. On nice days it was a good place to go. The paper awhile back indicated they were and gave Late August or September openings. Looks like some or closer than others. I do wonder though with hurricane season here and the probability of flooding again. 4951

ET : You know, I can't even remember the rain totals related to the tax day flood and Memorial day flood. Were they extraordinarily high? 4951

ET : My term "working" doesn't just include the rebuild. I've been following the progress since the beginning. There is/was more going on that included a huge clean up, build out, planning, waiting on the study, etc. 4951

PeterB123 : for Memorial Day it was not high here but out to the northwest they got 18 to 20 inches. That all comes though here. I don't recall the tax day flood but may have been the same situation. 4951

bubbabeans : That is the reason for concern.I know the SJ hasn't been maintained at all, but I'd guess that the amount of development has made the area much more susceptible to flooding, which IMHO, is worse than the once every 15 years hurricane threat. 4951

donnatella : really the place sat abandoned for about 8 months after the cleanout. I would consider working to be swinging a hammer. The other planning. 4951
