Honestly I dont understand why those opposed to this keep talking about it.

sebastian2 : That is exactly what made me decide to attend this one! I was surprised at how outspoken the uneducated MAGA people were about it beforehand, rather than just downplaying it. The GOP leadership was really trying to get out in front of this, as if they thought it would hurt their odds in the next election.
I haven't attended a protest since I was in high school.

eighteen : My family moved here from Connecticut more than 20 years ago. It may surprise you to learn that in this country people are free to move around, to buy houses in a new area when they take a new job there, etc.

Perelandran : Why would that surprise me?I've been in the area for over 40yrs. The change is welcome.

teatime : Sorry I missed your question. I dont think I saw anyone with masks. It was a friendly group. Whether I agreed or disagreed with what they were protesting, I really wanted to see what the hubbub was all about. It wasnt like the protests we did in the 60s. No dope smoking, no LSD, cops weren't dragging people off to jail. There were families and surprisingly ....a lot of older people. Hardly a threat of any kind! It was a beautiful day. It ended at 11 ...and that was it.
