ArcherMan : For some people this is good advice. But in reality, if I was confronted with someone wanting to steal my purse or car I would let them have it without a struggle. I know I would be too frozen with shock and fear to fumble for a firearm and use it. I am not physically strong enough to wrestle with someone if they tried to take a gun from me. Being armed isn't the answer for everyone. However, I do limit the public place I go to alone. But Costco in the middle of the day wasn't on my no-go list. My purse doesn't have much, if any, cash in it. My credit cards can be replaced, and my car is insured. I do try to get in my car with purchases as quickly as I can and lock my doors. I try to walk with others when possible. But I know that at my age and gender that I'm an easy target. I do wonder though how others on here would react if approached by someone pointing a weapon at them. Would you reach into your purse or belt to get your gun and risk that person would shoot you first? Everyone always says arm yourself to prevent this kind of thing but I don't think most people would react in time to an armed criminal to make that feasible. Am I wrong?

So I just witnessed the aftermath of someone getting robbed in the Costco parking lot. They were getting ready to put a lady in an ambulance. I hope she's ok. When we were leaving to get back to Kingwood 5 or 6 cop cars went flying past us on the 59 going North. Hopefully they caught the piece of ****.

AHaynes : This stuff is getting so out of control. The criminals are so out of control.
Wow - this is very uncomfortable. We go to the Humble Costco frequently. We do have a handicap tag so we are often parked closer to the store entrance but does that ensure safety - doubt it. Reading this report makes me aware we often have a lot to unload and pack into our car. We are prime targets!
