Texasdad : neighborhood speeders bother me more than those crossing the bridge on WLH. It seems that the logic to slow down in neighborhoods has left the village! Occasionally children play in yards and for vehicles to speed past is an accident waiting to happen.

There has been police camping the bridge as you come into kingwood since that wreck the other day best not speed the kingwood autobahn this week.

Texasdad : I miss the days when HPD had bike patrol in our neighborhoods. I do appreciate their service and understand they can't be everywhere.

I agree about speeding in the neighborhoods and coming off the bridge. The flip side of the coin is can we all agree not to drive 25mph from 494 to Green Oak every single day at all hours of the day. I get you can't always go 40, but 25 is crazy.

Texasdad: The police DEFINITELY need to closely monitor W. Lake Houston at Rustic Woods where the refurbed Wendy’s is. Some of the craziest drivers driving north, right after the stop light, are HELLISH SPEED DEMONS!! They really rev it up about 1,000 decibels & Indy 500 up the street. Some neighbors have been complaining.

What I'm worried about is that Creekwood Middle School is right up the street. Some of the kids walk in the street without even looking & if those crazy drivers are on their phones, there could be a serious accident.
The police substation is right close by at the end of Rustic Woods. They must hear all the noise. I wonder why they’re not parked near that intersection. They could get their quota of tickets in.
I think I’m going to visit some of the sub station finest whom I know. Maybe some others would do the same.
Better safe than sorry applies here!!!

What bothers me is the kids who inherit mom's old car and put mufflers the size of 5 gal buckets on them and drive around revving !

If you really know them as you said...you would know they dont have quotas. And the restaurant is Wendys...not McDonalds
