Just moved to Texas and love it, I'm told however school traffi

I try to not go out from 3 to 6 pm. Traffic is awful! Unless it's to HEB area because I live super close!

Hello, welcome to Kingwood and the KDC forum. The morning traffic isn't too bad, usually around 7 am to 8 am. The afternoon traffic starts at 3 pm and lasts until about 6 pm (school and work).

proudgram52 : My advice is that if you find yourself driving during arrival and/or dismissal time get in the LEFT lane before you approach the school and stay there until you have passed the school. The right lane is parents dropping off/picking up their children. Welcome to Kingwood!

proudgram52 : If WLHP is congested due to school traffic you can find alternative routs through the neighborhoods. If you have GPS plug in your location and then Kroger at NP and WLHP. Instead of taking the congested route, cut through the neighborhood. The GPS will get you there. BTW, If you are trying to avoid the traffic from the Middle school and the Elementary school near or on WLHP between Rustic Woods and Northpark, the traffic is bad from 3:05 - 3:35(elementary) and from 3:50 - 4:20(Middle School). If it is raining those times seem to be extended cause everyone is picking up that day.
