I guess it depends on who your provider is. We have Best Trash and provide our own cans; they provided the recycle bins. I have seen other neighborhoods that all have the same cans and the truck picks up the can to dump it. I suspect the service provided them. Ask your neighbors. You likely need to call provider and sign up and get on a recurring payment plan or they may not pick up your trash.

Marooney9 : Until you get around to it, you can just bag it but keep in mind when it gets hot....coons etc might invade the trash. Do you know your pick up days yet?

Yea Saturday and Wednesday. I did bag it and leave it on the curb however they drove past and didn't collect it

Have you signed up for service? You have to pay for a pickup regardless if it's in a bag or trash can.

Marooney9 : We used to use Best Trash in Kingwood and had to set up trash service and pay monthly. They supply cans and recycle bins. They used to have heavy trash days only, etc. I would just ask a neighbor but if the subdivisions in your area have weekly pick ups then it's possible you do as well.

Wiseowl: I'm in Sherwood trails and we are given a big trash can and recycle can . I'm sure we paid for them at some point lol . We get once a week collection

Marooney9 : What GiggleMugs said. Once you are signed up, they should pick up. I guess you might need to take that bag and put back in your garage until you are signed up. BTW...they bill you for 3 months at a time. Just FYI.
