I did read the rest just so you know by the way but I don't know if I will feel up to responding tonight because of the details it would entail. Thank you for laying all that out and if that is okay with you, I won't dredge up this thread days later (I'm not on here consistently); I will just PM you and you can reply if you want.
I appreciate how earnest you are about this topic; I feel you are sincere in your stance and that is admirable.
Ok.
I think you must be feeling something you dont want to talk about. I should respect that.
ummm ... noooo...lol! I'm actually just kind of tired ...lol!
You had a manifesto there! lol! not really but you get it. all good. I do promise that I will respond in kind about the system's issues just not tonight
Now I really think he would be a great person to depose. I was actually asked this week about the standard of care for pediatric oncology patients at the detention facilities, The person that asked is a board certified anesthesiologist with a sub-specialty in oncological anesthesiology. I gave him the phone number for the FIU law school immigration law clinic. Your brother can probably give great information.
I know the Dr. and the director of the clinic law clinic. The lawyers have VERY strong suspicions that the care is inadequate, especially anesthesiology. I called the doc ad asked if it was run of the mill, he said oh hell no and when I asked if he could look at the info and opine he said sure. He can't just barge in and give care, but he can help prepare deposition questions and even be an expert witness if the need arises. They are both caring guys.
#msg6048786if it was run of the mill,
Doctors providing care would be asked about things like what medications for specific medication regimens and their availability. Lots of stuff that the medico-legal experts know and wonder about. The doc could tell the awyer that xyz is a sign of abc and lmn coulda shoulda been checked or done. Geeks.
Can you answer what the "it" was in "asked if it was run of the mill" that the doc said, "oh hell no" to?
Sure. The phrasing with him was not "run of the mill." It was more along the lines of is sciatica pain treatment (which I would call run of the mill) what you would give a patient with Ewing sarcoma? Oh hell no in his West Virginia accent, Poor guy still can't shake it in normal conversation, Does that explain t?
Yes, it does. And that accent is well within his rights ... lol!
How did you find out what this detention center patient was being given? A patient at a detention center, right? And the anesthesiology concerns were a separate issue, I am assuming. Issues when medical staff attend to the detainees on-site at the detention center or when they transport them to an outside facility? I am aware that the medical facilities at detention centers can differ but do not know which ones can provide what care.
#msg6048617UptownGirl : You have a skewed and immoral view of what happens when an agency have carte blanche to kill people. What if you happen to be Renée Goode or your husband happen to be Alex Pretti? You might feel differently, wouldn't you?
#msg6048397Perelandran : Go look up concentration camps so you can educate yourself to not say something as vile as you just did. How old are you?!?!
