To the individual that hit and run this buck Thursday at...
From the game warden's website: "Q1: A deer has been hit on the highway, what do I do? A1: If the deer is just injured call your local game warden dispatcher. If you are absolutely sure the deer is dead, you may move it off the roadway and leave it there. Texas Department of Transportation will remove the dead animal. It is illegal to tag the deer (or any game animal for that matter) and take it with you."
FatCop : Yeah I'm probably breaking that law if I clip a deer or see one get hit because it is gonna be thrown in the back of my truck. TDOT very rarely comes to do anything with a deer quickly unless it's on a major roadway impeding traffic. The only thing that is gonna touch a deer in Kingwood that gets hit is the thousand or so buzzards that stay here year round. I got way too much respect for an animal to let it rot.

Sophrogeny : That happened to my DS right before KHS. The deer pushed in the whole front end of his car. Found deer on the other side of street but nothing we could do. We also had one come through window and landed in babies crib. We were so lucky we just left the house but the amount of blood and damage it did running around the inside of our house. Couldn't imagine being home and trying to round up the kids. Police said my newborn had a guardian angel that day.

Sophrogeny : What are they to be accountable for. You want them to stop run around like some crazy person and apologize? Or shoot the animal in public? Or maybe stop and console them and provide end of life services? « Back to Chat
