I'm going to rant for a minute. I rode from Northpark to East E

Northpark puts drivers in a bad mood.
Not an excuse.

I'm assuming you were on a bike? I mean, we all share the road according to the law. Guess that's just the risk you take when riding a bike on a major thoroughfare.

I know that the greenbelt and walks have "stop lines" painted on the walk which (from my experience) most people on bikes blast through without looking. I can't tell you how many times I've bikers almost hit because they blast across streets on a sidewalk. The painted stop lines are just like a stop sign for the sidewalk.They are supposed to stop before crossing into or across a road as well. If you were riding in the street gutter that's a different story. I'm assuming that you were on a bike.

I so agree with you, but biking is dangerous these days, because So many are distracted, and straight up Watching silly videos and outright Movies on their phones, While they Drive! Please be extra careful and give drivers the time to do the dumb things they do, and stay safe!

Even if you have the right of way, you have to watch others closely. No winning on a bike against a vehicle. It is a shame people do not drive more carefully and politely.

I know someone who got their vehicle towed in front of their home and the vehicle had all it's current stickers and drivable.

stevesmith223 : How did you get to East End Park from Northpark? Did you go down WLHP or Mill Branch to get to Kingwood Dr? East End Park is at the end of Kingwood Drive. I hope you were on the trails and not in the street. That would be scarry! As a bike rider you too have a responsibility to pay attention to everything when you operate your bike. That means the roads, sidewalks, and greenbelt crossings. Maybe, you too need to get with the program! You need to take responsibility for yourself and your safety. I have seen many bike riders role right out into an intersection without looking. Like they think everyone's eyes are on them. Well, the fact is, they are not! Being proactive is best for drivers and bike riders. Keep yourself safe and have a blessed evening!

this is why self driving cars will replace human driven cars. People either won't or can't pay attention. With so many people now out here, there is a lot to watch out for. Plus the added bonus of having cell phones that are more entertaining than driving (who would have thought?)

Some bikers seem to think the streets belong to them. They ignore STOP signs and give you a stern glare. My suggestion to everyone: Pay attention and assume the other person will do something stupid!

Im really afraid I will hit someone on a bike blasting across the road on the Greenbelt! They come from behind trees and dont stop at the stop signs and you can't see them until it's almost too.late. Especially kids going on the Greenbelts to and from school. From Greentree by the park is particularly bad. They come whizzing out from behind the trees! I even called the school I told them what was happening and please remind the kids to stop at crossings. Helped about a week.
