In January of 2026 the NYT reported that in 2024 the DoJ opened and closed an investigation into Ilhan Omar's campaign finances. The liecSweetie, and others are sopeading,, that the raid is due to an invest igation initiated under the B iden administration, is a lie, falsehood, prevaricatiobn. I doubt the spreader of that scurrilllouss twisting of of what t he BYT is reporting has actually seen a NYT paper.

I agree, there's been a lot of things that have happened since 47 came on the scene that's extremely hard for me to understand. And, I'm sure that when future historians examine this time period in American history, it will be hard for many of them to understand too.As for Omar, my point has and continues to be that she is a citizen. As such, she enjoys the same constitutional rights to free speech as everybody else. We don't have to agree with her. Lord knows, I see opinions on this forum I highly disagree with. But I don't think anyone should be hunted down and arrested because of them. Nor do I think we should take the point of view that says because a person is not a natural born citizen, they have no right to criticize the government. Again, the key word is "citizen". Either we stand for free speech of U.S. citizens, or we don't.

Not like she has been convicted of 34 felonies, is she in the Epstein files, or colluded with Russia?

I commend you foryour public acknowledgement of Ilhan Omar as an AMERICAN! Yay! The trash part I disagree with. I don't concur with all of her statements, but as an American, I respect her right to make them.

And if you become a US citizen because of illegally and filing your immigration papers or lying and marrying your brother then you don't deserve to be a US citizen. Doing the people's business would entail far fewer investigations of trump's perceived enemies.
This looks political: the raid happened within the "60 day window" of an election. Something DOJ has historically refrained from doing.
