billcherie2 : They are not thugs. They are law enforcement. I thought that they had to wear bodycams but I have not followed. Goode and Pretti were in the wrong and their is evidene to prove this.

Their recruitment ads are targeting people who perhaps shouldn't be in law enforcement. I agree they are law enforcement and should be respected and obeyed but the "thug" thing is pointing to some legit issues with their approach.

cbear : Then you can blame someone for not stopping. I told my wife to never stop for an unmarked car even with lights unless at a busy crowded place

Yes, I keep thinking about what I would do in that situation with the unmarked cars and all. I would probably be calling 911 really fast but then, would they even be able to verify what ICE officers would be doing? Let's just say that I would have strong tendencies to believe they are indeed genuine and act accordingly even though I HAVE lived in an area where there were episodes of fake cops pulling people over.
I am really hoping more video footage is found; this is really hard on community as a whole.

I have told my daughter that. Luckily she works really close to where she lives and there is a police station on her route so chances are good she can just pull right on into the police station.

cbear : only in an open public area. She will put her flashing lights if needed and slow down.

cbear : Even police advocate safety and stopping in a well lit public area if lights are from an unmarked vehicle. Imposters have used this method in past to rob and or rape unsuspecting people.

e : absolutely. Undercover stings are often used to find charges against criminals such as drug dealers and child predators. I do find the lack of camera footage disturbing in an environment with multiple rf signals present. Perhaps someone more tech savvy could explain?

According to more recent reporting, the person murdered by ICE was not even the target.

ExCTGuyInTX : did he comply? Did he try to run? Perhaps he could have clarified things with simply stopping.
