I haven't seen any info where the GC was closing, either.

LittleTexas :

See the article I posted a link to in my earlier post.....Golden Corral will close in December, be demolished, and a brand new In-N-Out and Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers will be built on the property....Both slated to open in the last quarter of 2027....

amended: saw from another post that they will demolish GC. Same thing they did with Sweet Tomatoes in The Woodlands; took them Forever to get that one, so I imagine it will be a year before this is open?

says 'adjacent' to GC, as I read it. In and Out has strict specs on it's brick and mortar appearance; part of customers 'recognizing' their brand. We actually looked into buying a franchise, 10 years ago. Very strict and expensive. One must begin as a line worker, and work their way up, to be able to own, as they have always been a guaranteed money maker.

The Popeyes is still there, to the left, kinda tucked around the end of the Strip center where the Chilis is. The Portillos is doing training, still, saw them today. I agree, there is No visual on the place from 59, and even if you stick a sign high in the air, people Still have to figure out how to 'mooch around' on that busy exchange, to Get there :o My guess is, that made that property less expensive to lease/build on?

that is on the Secret Menu, and there are some good ideas, there! My kids like their fries animal style. You can also substitute a milk shake for your drink, for a small price, when you get a combo. They are small, but the perfect size for your meal. I am a fan of the Vanilla Shake with a #2 Combo.

I have always liked them, and especially when I get the vanilla shake with my burger. Freshly made product, great customer service. Now, we won't have to drive all the way to the Woodlands, if we have a craving for them. Bet it will be a year before they open, with present building destruction, permits, new build, etc. Good to know it is incoming, though.

In n Out, Whataburger, all these local burger institutions have a similar story. Their "legend" is usually based on where they're from and not what they serve. Typically after hearing so much about places like this you eventually get to go in and you're underwhelmed. You quickly find that it's just another burger.

Ticagro: True. It's a good fast food burger, but still just a fast food burger. It’s that whole can’t get it after you move. I realized a couple of the places I loved at home weren’t that great on later visits.

Yes, I'm not a big fan of animal style fries, but I often order my burger animal style.
