Ruger5 : That amount of money would be in straps (verified a few times prior to strapping). With that amount of cash there should have been two employees. They should have also disclosed that they had to report anything over $10k. And they should have been questioning you to make sure you weren't withdrawing under duress. I used to be a banking center manager for Compass Bank (100 years ago - well maybe not 100) but I'm sure they should still follow certain protocol for that amount of withdrawal.

GirlonaBoat : Oh trust me - I know that drill well. All that happened before they went to retrieve withdrawal. Anything over ten grand is not a quick transaction. It's annoying frankly but I do understand the necessity. When she left to bring the cash up front is what took so long. I did not understand that. Today they will not allow large transactions at window. I wish that had been the case with me but more importantly why oh why of why no outside cameras?Edit - we have a 20 year relationship with this bank - they know our habits, they know a few sources of our bounty. Im guessing us taking out 50k multiple times a year is nothing suspicious on us. Our yearly long term CS's land there before heading to higher interest institutions (money market accts, etc) we are not viewed as money launderers 😄

Ruger5 : Your long-standing relationship with them should have warranted better customer service IMO (walking you to your car, etc. -- Shoot I would have probably asked if I could follow you home.)
