So happy he is in custody, now if they will just keep him in there for awhile and not give him a $5 dollar bail.
ZMAN : Hey you! Did you not read the article or are you trying to be cute? Talk about a waste of resources, he took $1,500 worth of goods, then led the cops on a vehicular chase, putting them and others in danger, then wrecked into some innocent person putting them in danger and damaging their property, also caused major freeway traffic pile up, and then ran and had to be hunted down like the dirt bag he is. So much more than a petty crime. And how much money did all of that cost tax payers and his victims? Really wonder about how you responded, even with the info right in front of your face.

Happyface : Exactly. What good is a "punishment" if it doesn't even sting?? If it makes no impression? If it doesn't even deter the next batch of criminal thought?
MissAmericanPie : Well, there are those among us that think harsher punishment does not deter crime. I feel that if the penalty is a real penalty or punishment that a large percentage of crime would be deterred, while the truly unhinged would still commit no matter the consequence. It would at least lessen the amount of crime. There is no 100% effective way to do this but a decrease is a win in my book.
