If they couldn't clean up the tent city beside Minute Maid part without caving to the ACLU who raced out there to protect the squatters, they have no right to make this claim now. I call ********.
I think people would be a lot more patient with the homeless in general if most didn't completely trash the area they reside in (used needles, excrement, food trash, random other trash). The begging and safety issues are not great either. I know there are a lot of reasons for them not taking care of their area they reside in (mental health issues, lack of resources, drug issues). I can't tell you how many times I drive downtown by the Star of Hope shelter off of Ruiz and just see a random guy taking a poop on the sidewalk next to the street. I also think politicians cherry pick their "data" and it is usually biased and incorrect.
What you do is stop tracking, reporting and have the media gaslight the public and the issue resolves itself. Same with inflation, crime, and open border policy.
I thought they pushed them out of the city.
There was a lady from Seattle touting her method that was being used in Houston.
Seattle used to have a "bunks for drunks" program where homeless could go drink as much as they wanted in a designated residential housing area as long as they only did it there. It worked - many drunks found other drunks disgusting and quit - decided to be better than "those people". That helped them make better decisions in life.

I've recently lived downtown in a large city. The pet owners were on par with the homeless.
luannski : I do not think that is true!
