Sorry luannski. I hope the City gives residents an option to opt out of recycling if they do not want to pay an additional recycle fee. Fortunately, City has recycle at Kingwood Park & Ride.

I don't recycle. Problem solved.

Texasdad : I have Best Trash and I heard somewhere along the way that a former employee of Best said that they really don't recycle which makes sense. They pick up all kinds of things in those trucks and do we really think the truck goes back to home base and they pay people to sort all the glass, plastic, cardboard etc. Nope!

cbear: I was born & raised in Houston. When I was old enough to know what a Water Bill was, a Garbage Waste fee was always in it. Around $9 every month. I pay $25/month now for garbage pick up.

I've heard this as well. There are mountains of plastic somewhere. I don't recycle any longer. I wish I could find the article.

GiggleMugs : I think there is a "dump" somewhere in Humble, Atascocita. I remember driving by it but cannot recall exact location. Sad to deceive like that.
