Houston Post Office Missing and stolen mail fraud investigation

I am glad to know that an investigation has at least been started because the theft from this area is years old.

TEXASGIRLMAMMA : Postal Union. It's almost impossible to fire any public-sector employee union members.

We had a postmaster that got some jail time when I was a kid. This was back in the 80's. He was taking mail and there was a big investigation. As I remember, there was an investigator of some kind that hid in a room that no one knew was there-kind of a crawlspace. This particular post office was an older one.

CaffeineFree : do they still get paid while working in the prison post office or is that just considered a continuing Professional Education freebie?

I don't know how some of the postal workers are hired to begin with.

I can't say anything the PO workers do, surprises me.

MissAmericanPie : Two Christmases ago our ENTIRE mail box for all 11 homes were stolen in middle of night. Chained it to a truck, ripped right off its foundation.

Are you serious?? That's nuts! I can't imagine they ever even fixed it lol.
I needed a new key, years ago, and couldn't even get a call back. They are a study in incompetence!

The postal authorities are saying you should never leave outgoing mail in your mailbox overnight.

MissAmericanPie : I feel the same! In all reality they need to restaff the KW PO with new people all the way around. It is a shame we have to worry about mail and checks being stolen.
