Houston Bucket List

I saw this on FB and thought it would be good for anyone with visitors, out-of-town guests, or just to compare to what has been experienced individually while living here.

Needs to be a different one for kids.
The Aquarium will only entertain them for about
1 1/2 hour tops. The outdoor rides are a joke for older kids.

donnatella : Thanks for that. Pretty cool and will look at and consider the rest of KDC'ers input. Have you ever heard of the underground tunnel tour or anybody else been on it?

Below is just a sample of one company that does it:

SteveT : I've worked downtown for ages, so I've seen most of it. Similar to walking a mall without as many fun stores. Most convenience places for the workers downtown - food places, watch and shoe repair, sundries, banks, etc.

This is really cool. It is a nice list that gives plenty of options and explores some of the really fun stuff Houston has to offer.

Pralines? That's NOLA .I do not agree with where to buy their food suggestion, as their are better, to be had. Go to a Rockets game, buy a jersey or tshirt. Go to El Bolillo, or an authentic Mexican bakery. Chicken Fried Steak, gotta have one. There is a good self tour of the painted murals (houstonmuralmap.com) in Houston , for selfies, now. I would def skip indoor skydiving, and head North to see the bluebonnet fields, if it is the season. You gotta sit down for some crawfish' hopefully, at a Festival. Pasadena Strawberry Festival, and Texas Crab Festival, in Galveston. . If you are here during Rodeo, DO go, and make a reservation at the steakhouse, now located on the grounds of the HLS&R.

One additional bucket list item is the National Museum of Funeral History, just south of Spring.

But maybe that's taking "bucket list" too literally.

LittleTexas : I just took my wife 2 weeks ago to see the bluebonnets in the Ennis area. She'd never seen them before.
