GoldenGirl : Curious, where do you think a homeless person without means of transportation "moved" to? Out of your sight or just like, another business or street becauuuuse….

For me it's sad to see the homeless knowing there are so many places they can go for help. DH and I were wondering the other day how long it will be before they're camped under the new overpass at 1960 and WLHP. We know it's coming.
The police do remove the homeless, drug addict, etc. At Mills Branch, a woman who was drugged out was put in the police car. My father worked for a rehabilitation commission in another state. Most of these homeless people are addicts or have mental illness. As a woman, I would not approach a stranger on the ground because you do not know if they are violent. I am not comfortable having homeless people here. I have been approached and harassed by them and following me. So I am not comfortable with homeless people living here.
Heathur : If you own a business and there is a homeless person sleeping in front of your door it is not good for business.... just a fact. He got here by some way of transportation,.... Don't go all bleeding heart on me.... LOL

mutton : like a couple but with three people instead
This arrogant and cringeworthy "not in my backyard" outrage is a perfect example of social elitism and pretense. The incident is a preview of the ongoing Houston homeless migration to suburbia. Similar encounters will become more common and all the snobbery in town ain't gonna stop it. If any kind of meeting's held, it should focus on humanitarian solutions in lieu of ego, irascibility, and contempt.
Wow, I can't believe there are so many people on here that don't see the problem with this. Smh...And no I didn't want to go up to him because I'm with my 7 yr. old son. I didn't know if he would be dangerous (if he woke up) and I didn't want to expose my son to that. I did alert a business to call....I'm not a Karen...that is just stupid. I'm a concerned citizen. I also didn't know that I can't delete messages....
Simplistic blaming thinking. There are fully employed people with no substance issues living in their cars or in shelters because their employment doesn't provide enough to pay all the bills. Add in some medical issues or, as in San Francisco, exorbitant rents due to scarcity of units available and you can be homeless in spite of working
