Don't give the homeless money.

Viperasp : I don't make a habit of telling others what to do with their money, as I don't like folks telling me what to do with mine.

Ruger5 : Police can certainly shew them off private property. They can't shew them off public property.

1836 : True, but they should be able to look at this as public endangerment or nuisance or trespassing. I almost ran over a panhandler begging with a group in public parking spaces in Aldi shopping center. A big burly guy tried to flag me down - scared the hell out of me - and I don't scare easily - anyhow, in my moment of fluster at what just happened, another beggar walks into close proximity to where Im trying to get the hell outta there & had I not had great reflxes coulda ran over his foot or worse. That has never happened before and shouldn't be happening EVER. it's scary and dangerous!

Homeless person passed out in the "breezeway" area at the old HEB center. He had his bike and trash around him. Looked like he was dead. I'm with my young son, so I didn't want to get too close or I would have taken a picture. Went into Pet Ranch and told the lady inside. She said she would call the authorities. She & another person walked outside to make sure he wasn't dead. He wasn't, saw his leg move. I am so **** off that this is happening in Kingwood. We didn't move out to the suburbs to see this crap. And if you're a bleeding heart giving these people money...this will happen. It's disgusting and I don't want this in my community. I have lived in the city and this brings crime and other undesirable things to a community. And just know that if you leave a "where are they suppose to go" or any sympathy comments towards the homeless...I will delete your comments. If you want to support these people, then move to the city and take them with you. 🎤 MIC DROP!!!! There needs to be a town meeting called to address this issue & the panhandlers. Who needs to be contacted? [ Admin: Just to clarify, thread creators cannot delete comments from other people on their threads ]

CocoBagogo1 : Kingwood is a suburb of the 4th largest city in the nation. Homelessness is going to happen. If you don't like it, buy some land & a ranch or something. That person is somebody's child. Somebody's family. Are you a Christian?

1836 : I didn't tell you what to do with your money, just making a point that if Kingwood is known by the homeless as being a easy mark for a free handout there will be a increase in them coming here and staying here. Passing out in public places, urinating in public and living in the woods. Look at San Francisco. Not comparing a large city to Kingwood but the same situation.

1836 : If it directly affects the crime, security, peacefulness, even property values of your community (the community you chose to raise your children in) - it should. Drugs alcohol and tabacco addictions drive desperate people to the streets, not hunger. Let's be real.

Ruger5 : There but for the grace of God go I. Many things drive people to the streets. I think mental illness is a major contributing factor.
