Heathur : And you're trying to pretend that we have such a huge crime problem got it
sweetie : Certainly not Detroit but I do think the Kingwood "bubble" may have bursted quite some time ago. I moved to Atascocita when I was 9 years old/ doing activities in Kingwood the entire time. Active in both cities the entire time. Neither places are what they were over 25 years ago. I'm just not in denial of that fact like some seem to be. 😬
Heathur : The only crime really in Kingwood is car break-ins. And the only reason we have those is because people here tend to leave their gun or purse or wallet, or laptop in their car. We're safe to walk on any Street in Kingwood anytime we want to. We never have to worry about that.
sweetie : I don't worry about crime. I can show a potential buyer ehe HPD stats. Homeless camps on the greenbelts are actually a much worse problem for real estate value. I have no reason to doubt you when you say they exist on the Greentree greenbelts. so I'll sell cheap to get out fast before the market craters. I joined this to confirm my belief crime here is low only to find out homeless encampments are a bigger problem. What are the mayor pro tem police and greenbelt managers doing about this?
sweetie : There were literally shots fired this week. A naked man was breaking and entering into peoples homes. I told my daughter not to park on public streets in Kinghood bc people threaten others with guns there for simply being parked. There was a dead guy under a bridge last? week? How many times a week do thefts get posted on KDC where officers are seeking the public's help identifying suspects? The world is an unsafe place, not just KW. I won't change your mind and you won't change statistics. Stay safe or whatever.

J2911 : Oh wow. Ok. Weren't you here when they talked about the one guy that lives out on the Greenbelt. His mom lives in green tree. He went into someone's house in green tree up to the bedroom. I think her daughter was in there and started screaming, and he ran out. They've had trouble with him for years. They pick him up and take him to the hospital and then they bring him back and he goes back into the woods.

eltigremadera : Like I said, we have homeless people, not homeless camps. Just cause maybe two or three homeless people get together in the woods doesn't make it a camp.

J2911 : well, plywood structures from scrap wood. Idk what else to call it. Fire hazard maybe? Idk
sweetie : Multiple people staying in a continuous location with structures and personal belongings? Weird, sounds a lot like a homeless encampment to me.

Heathur : Wasn't the dead guy in Montgomery County under the bridge. That wasn't in KW
