ExCTGuyInTX : Are you serious that you didn't know this?
Kittle : Has it crossed anyone's mind that this may be an operation to move people out?
eltigremadera : Real estate investors are moving the homeless in to lower home values?
sweetie : I attended the KSA Public Safety meeting last night and this was not brought up as a current but had in previous meetings, but specific village were not named.
I'm sure all the wonderful big Bible-believing churches in KW & Atascocita will step up to help these folks get on their feet and get housing they can afford and a job that pays enough to cover rent and reliable transportation to get to work. All those good Christians will surely be God's hands and feet in this situation, since it's right in their area. I'm sure none of the believers will treat poor people with contempt. 😄

First, define "Kingwood". Even the other "N" site's posts are usually not from Kingwood. The homeless by the river was not in Kingwood. Will Clayton is not Kingwood.
Yes, we have had/do have a few individuals living off the greenbelts - many are even from local families. Yes, we have had/do have teens who are thieves, mischief makers.
That has always been true everywhere!
I grew up in a small town and it was true there also. We only locked our doors at night or when everyone was out of the house. We kept a key under a can on the back porch. My mom said it was just to alert her if someone had entered the house!
These days we lock doors and our cars.

ExCTGuyInTX : I have a rental house in Greentree. I have a couple friends that live in Greentree. One of them took her son on some bug hunt about a month ago and she told me that there were three different places where homeless were living there . She said 1 had a small tent she doesn't even know how they get in and out of it and just a lot of trash in all three places. My renter told me that she took a walk on the Greenbelt with her two sons, and that there was a homeless area and they had a shopping cart and a couple of blankets. She said she didn't know if it was one or more in that homeless area that she saw.
sweetie : Where are these "homeless" you continuous talk about? I live in Greentree and we are on the greenbelt often. I have NEVER seen what you are talking about. What part of Greentree? We walk the greenbelt from Mills Branch all the way up to the Greentree pool.
1836 : As in the camp is fake? Interesting POV. Never thought of it.
